Relocation Readiness

The Relocation Readiness Program helps soldiers and families reduce or eliminate problems related to frequent Permanent Change of Station (PCS) moves and offers a variety of services and support to assist Members and Families with the challenges associated with moving to a new location. Newcomer’s Orientation

The Newcomers Orientation provides in-bound Soldiers and new DoD Civilians an opportunity to receive the latest and greatest information to assist with in-processing and settling into Fort Eustis. Family Members are welcome to attend but we offer an Orientation just for spouses called Uniquely Eustis. Call the ACS at 757.878.3638 for Uniquely Eustis dates and times.

Newcomers Orientation: In-person Newcomers Orientation for Soldiers with the rank of E-1 to E-6, O1-O-3 and W1-W2 the Orientation is offered twice a month at the Community Recreation Center, 671 Lee Blvd, Ft Eustis on assigned date.

All other Soldiers will receive a Virtual Newcomers Orientation. Information on the virtual Orientation will be provided when you receive your in-processing paperwork.

 

Welcome Packets

The ACS no longer provides paper-welcome packets. All inbound personnel are encouraged to go online to Military Installations (https://installations.militaryonesource.mil) to upload a personalized booklet on Joint Base Langley Eustis. Sponsors are encouraged to visit the ACS prior to their newcomer’s arrival, to obtain the latest on relocation assistance resources, such as local area brochures and information to provide to their newcomer and family upon arrival.

Lending Locker

The Lending Locker provides basic household items to both Fort Eustis and Langley personnel with PCS orders for temporary loan. Due to high demand, please call the ACS at 757.878.3638 to check on availability and to schedule an appointment. Be sure to bring a copy of your orders when retrieving items.

Uniquely Eustis

Uniquely Eustis is an Orientation designed just for spouses to welcome spouses and provide information on Joint Base Langley Eustis. To educate spouses on programs beneficial to military Families and installation agencies that can provide assistance. Topics include spouse employment, school information, what to do in the area and much more. For new spouses to the installation the intent is to make transition to Fort Eustis and or military life easier. For spouses who have been here but would still like to attend, this forum will be a way to obtain beneficial information, meet new people and integrate into the community. Uniquely Eustis is offered monthly at Army Community Service, 650 Monroe Ave. Lunch is provided and children are welcome! Call ACS at 757.878.3638 to register or for more information.

Sponsorship Training is provided at unit request; however, sponsorship training is now available online through eSponsorship (eSAT) which allows Members to access the eSAT course 24 hours a day through the My Training Hub which is accessed by using their CAC.
